At the Park Inn by Radisson Danube Bratislava, we stand out together as one team and make memorable moments for our guests, because we are a hotel you can rely on!

Whilst most guests are counting sheep, we need to count the day’s figures, host the night owls with a warm welcome, a happy smile and a positive colorful attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

· Welcomes customers to the hotel

· Responds to customer requests

· Stays current with developments in the hotel by reviewing the communication log book each shift; updates log book for next shift

· Allocates rooms and issues appropriate keys

· Follows-up and verifies arrivals by updating registration cards in regard to spelling of guest’s name, address and method of payment

· Handles incoming guest room reservations

· Is aware, at all times, of current room status and room availability

· Increases hotel revenue by promoting food and beverage alternatives within the hotel

· Insures all guests establish credit upon check-in

· Monitors customer accounts to insure adherence to hotel credit limits

· Identifies and records special billing instructions and notifies accounting

· Completes shift closing accurately

· Prepares night audit reports as requested

· Demonstrates teamwork by co-operating and assisting colleagues as needed

· Handles difficult situations effectively

· Demonstrates a working knowledge of all services and facilities of the hotel, and effectively assists the hotel’s guests

· Uses the ABC approach to respond to negative comments and complaints; and notifies Front Office Manager immediately for appropriate follow-up

· Ensures that all potential and real hazards are taken care of immediately, and are reported appropriately

· Fully understands the hotel’s fire, emergency, and bomb procedures

· Follows emergency procedures to provide for the security and safety of guests and employees

Requirements:

· Fluency in English language, any additional language is an advantage

· Previous work experience in a hotel

· Is fully conversant with property management systems Opera

· Is able to operate switchboard, telefax, key equipment, credit card machines and printers, hotel alarm systems, and other Front Office equipment

· Willingness to work night shifts (or possibly afternoon shifts)
